We are most pleased to announce the addition of new medical equipment to our inventory! Ever since our second Learjet 45 entered service earlier this year, we have been expanding our flight and medical crew as well as our operational infrastructure in order to provide our valued clients with full service capability for both aircraft.
As part of this process, there have been some exciting new additions to our medical equipments lineup to be used as standard on all Redstar Air Ambulance flights. With the latest purchase, we have added to our inventory Corpuls3 Slim Monitor/Defibrillators, Weinmann Medumat Transport Ventilators, Braun Perfusor Compact and Alere EPOC systems. Among these, the EPOC system is brand new for us and allows our medics to access measured and calculated values of the patient’s blood gases, electrolytes and metabolites which are crucial in the continuation of treatment of especially the critical care patient in the air.
Through these investments, we have now reached a combined capacity of accommodating three intensive care patients simultaneously in two separate aircraft, and up to six patients simultaneously as a combination of ICU and non-ICU patients. Although technology can only be second to sincere loving care, it certainly helps and our Medical Department continues to closely follow up new developments in the field of transport medical equipments to ensure the best is provided to our patients!
